Relief Supervisor

Portage, MI

Job Responsibilities
  • Sustain and enforce JRS safety practices and standards.
  • Ensure product quality.
  • Maximize production efficiency.
  • Provide relief coverage for shift supervisor time away.
  • Assist in covering shift supervisor call-ins on short notice.
  • Coordinate Lockout of equipment.
  • Maintain plant cleanliness standards during production.
  • Perform on-shift testing of raw materials and finished products.
  • Assist shift supervisors in directing hourly workforce.
  • Operate production equipment.
  • Trouble shoot process problems.
  • Coach and assist in training of employees.
  • Effective communication of explaining job responsibilities to crew.
  • Effective communication with other supervisors.
  • Complete projects and daily assignments from production manager.
  • Perform and document line setup for product changes.
  • Repair break downs.
  • Daily documentation of accurate production data and maintenance issues.
  • Utilization of MaintiMizer system.
  • Perform PM’s as required.

Minimum Job Requirements, Skills and Qualifications
  • High School diploma.
  • Strong sense of customer urgency.
  • Experience with PLCs and ladder logic.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Exhibit professional behavior that reflects the company’s core values.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Good at Multitasking.
Electrical experience a plus.
  • No specific certifications and licenses are required.
Interactions and Tools/Equipment Utilized in the Job
  • Operate lab testing equipment.
  • Experience operating powered industrial vehicles and lifts.
  • Familiar with hand tools and multi-meters.
Physical Requirements
  • Employee must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to lift 50 lbs.
  • Employee must be able to climb ladders.
  • Employee must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Other Information
  • All rules and regulations of the Employee Handbook apply at all times.
  • 10 hour shifts, 4 day weeks, Monday – Thursday 6 pm-4 am. Overtime as needed.
  • Hourly; commensurate with experience (wage range has been established by HR).
  • Eligible for In-2-Win Performance Bonus Program.
  • Eligible for all benefit programs.
