Maintenance Technician

North Tonawanda, NY

Job Responsibilities
  • Preventative maintenance, daily, weekly, monthly PM orders/work orders.
  • Trouble shooting electrical issues.
  • Welding and fabrication as needed.
  • Organizing and cleaning work areas.
  • Repair/replace plant equipment bearings and belts as needed.

Duties
  • Daily morning meeting, work orders.
  • Conduct regular inspection of assigned work areas.
  • Complete any assigned work orders and return for approval.
  • Comply with all corporate, state/federal policies and OSHA rules.
  • Compliance to all plant audits.

Minimum Job Requirements, Skills and Qualifications
  • Knowledge and the understanding of electrical control and distribution systems failure/repair.
  • 2 years of experience in the industrial maintenance position.
  • High School diploma.
  • State of New York boiler license.
  • Able to effectively communicate on the telephone.
  • Competent use of business English in formal communication via email.
  • Adept in use of MS Office, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word, and ideally Power Point to basic level.
  • Good typing skills (30 words per minute; 10-key).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Certifications/Licenses
  • Driver’s licenses.
  • Boiler license.
  • Electrical license a plus

Interactions and Tools/Equipment Utilized in the Job
  • Computers, calibration equipment, diagnostic tools, welders, power hand tools, blue print reading, electrical prints.

Physical Requirements
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Climb ladders and stairs.
  • Ability to work on 70 ft. elevated platform.

Other Information
  • Third Shift, Monday – Friday; 1/2-hour lunch break.
  • Overtime as needed.
  • Hourly; commensurate with experience (wage range has been established by HR).
  • Eligible for In-2-Win Performance Bonus Program.
  • Eligible for all benefit programs.
