Inside Sales Support 

Location 

Job Responsibilities
  • Communicate on a regular basis with BU Managers, territory sales managers, external customers, and all internal departments.
  • Assist sales representatives with quotations and established pricing mechanisms, inventory status on key products, sample provisions, report filing, customer and competitor research, market trend analysis and updates, and any other assigned projects as deemed necessary
  • Coordinate between customers, Account Managers and various departments regarding quality complaints and returns.
  • Business travel may be required but would be less than 5 percent of time.
Duties
  • Initiate first point of contact with potential customers to determine potential through both inbound and outbound inquiries.
  • Input all customer credit applications in SAP.
  • Route qualified sales opportunities to the appropriate account manager for further development and closure.
  • Support all Business Unit field sales account managers to analyze customer data, track trends, and communicate strategic information.
  • Utilize software to identify jobs, create quotes and send out pricing to road contractors in conjunction with the Product Development Manager. Develop a communication mechanism for customers and managers for any pertinent information.
  • Establish tools/reports to identify trends, order patterns, etc. Send regular updates to rest of organization to help establish better communications across departments.
  • Provide feedback through communications on any competitive market intelligence and technology trends within related industry segments.
  • Assist with creating any price quotations or supply agreements for all Business Units as needed.
  • Maintain SAP BP Master Data & pricing information for all customers in SAP to ensure correct pricing is charged on Invoices.
  • Review and file Call Reports to gather any competitive information or market trends. Communicate any common trends or useful knowledge to the appropriate team members.
  • Product development activities in cooperation with R&D and sales team. This includes both new fibers and end use applications depending on project needs.
  • Prepare corporate office for customer visits by planning meals and or snacks accordingly.
  • Research customer or market information as directed by CEO or other managers.
  • Develop database with competitors, market data, and any other pertinent information to share internally.
  • Review all incoming emails from info@jrsusa.com and distribute appropriately.
  • Conceptualize sales supporting materials to increase sales in both USA and Exports/International.
  • Participate in local, regional, and national trade shows that pertain to each industry serviced may be necessary. Attendance at sales meetings and other organized company events will be required on a periodic basis.
  • Assist CEO, VP of Sales, BU Managers, and Sales Operations Manager with various office tasks and complete any special projects or other duties that may be assigned by management at any time.
  • Support CEO and Sales Managers with travel and expense reimbursement as needed.
  • Monitor GoTo Meeting utilization to prevent double bookings.


Minimum Job Requirements, Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree in business.
  • Two to Five years equivalent job experience in a manufacturing company setting is preferred.
  • Strong sense of customer urgency.
  • Effective communications skills will be critical through face-to-face meetings, via telephone conversations, and through business emails.
  • Able to maintain composure under high stress situations.
  • Ability to perform in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to work independently and set prioritization of daily tasks.
  • Competent writer of business letters/e-mails and other correspondence as assigned.
  • Proficient in use of MS Office, particularly Outlook, Excel, OneNote and Word, Power Point to medium level.
  • Proficient in Pivot table manipulation, mail merge, and social media blogs/updates.
  • Experience with order processing software, SAP preferred.
  • Able to perform basic business math calculations.
  • Good typing skills (60 words per minute; 10-key).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to adjust schedule as needed to meet business demands.

  • No specific certifications and licenses are required.
Interactions and Tools/Equipment Utilized in the Job
  • Interacts with external sales personnel, customers, and all internal departments on a regular basis (telephone, computer based e-mail, fax, mail).
  • Consults with sales personnel and staff in Logistics/Shipping, Customer Service, Warehouses and R&D. Production/Engineering and QA/QC.
  • Utilizes standard office equipment and computer work station.
Physical Requirements
  • Sitting, typing and viewing computer screen for long periods. 
  •  Ability to lift objects <50 lbs. for various product samples, brochures, boxes, office equipment, etc.

  • All rules and regulations of the Employee Handbook apply at all times
  • Standard working hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday. 1-hour unpaid lunch. Overtime as needed.
