Electrical Maintenance Worker

Fosston, MN

Job Responsibilities
  • Installs, maintains and repairs electrical systems and installations as instructed.
Duties
  • Maintain all electrical systems and installations through regular preventive maintenance following established schedules.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical installations as needed.
  • Support maintenance of all production equipment.
  • Install new equipment.
Minimum Job Requirements, Skills and Qualifications
  • High School diploma.
  • Two years electrical maintenance job experience in an industrial environment or equivalent education.
  • Strong sense of safety, especially with electricity and around high-voltage electrical installations.
  • Able to work effectively and safely in tight and/or confined spaces in all areas of the plant.
  • Experienced with Electrical Safety Codes, Confined Space policies and Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiar with installing industrial equipment.
  • Intermediate user knowledge of MS Office, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word preferred.
  • PLC knowledge is a plus.
Certifications/Licenses
  • Valid Michigan Driver's license (pre-requisite for forklift license).
  • No other specific certifications and licenses are required.
Interactions and Tools/Equipment Utilized in the Job
  • Consults with all maintenance personnel, and staff in Production and other departments as needed.
  • Employs electrical testing equipment.
  • Operates man-lifts and forklifts.
  • Utilizes standard office equipment and computer work station.
Physical Requirements

Job requires for long periods of time and frequently:

  • Walking to various locations in the facility.
  • Climbing stairs, ladders and straight ladders with man cage.
  • Standing, crawling, crouching, kneeling and out-of-position working.
  • Working in the elements during all seasons.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion.
  • Must be able to work at heights of up to 135 feet.
Other Information
  • Must supply own basic hand tools.
  • All rules and regulations of the Employee Handbook apply at all times.
  • Hourly; commensurate with experience (wage range has been established by HR)
  • Eligible for In-2-Win Performance Bonus Program.
  • Eligible for all benefit programs.
  • 6:00 am – 2:30 pm Monday – Friday; ½-hour unpaid lunch break.
  • Overtime as needed.
  • On-call duty required on rotation (including weekends and holidays).
