Cutter Operator

Urbana, OH

Job Responsibilities
  • Keep cutters on cycle and maintain product specification standards.
  • Complete all critical item checks as required.
  • Monitor amps on cutters.
  • Change screens as required.
  • Complete magnet check sheets and clean magnets two times per shift (start and middle) or as required.
  • Follow all quality system directives, such as lot traceability and hold process.
  • Follow the cutter order for screen requirements and other special instructions.
  • Monitor how much is in the bagger tank at all times.
  • Alpine test material out of each hopper throughout shift, as required.
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as directed by Plant Supervisor.
  • Stage necessary raw materials (pallets, cellulose rolls).
  • Complete and verify production reporting and quality documentation.
  • Clean work area after each scheduled break.
Minimum Job Requirements, Skills and Qualifications
  • High School diploma.
  • Strong sense of Safety.
  • Be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Able to work effectively and safely in tight and/or confined spaces in all areas of the plant.
  • Ability to change filter socks and cages.
  • Ability to fill Bulk Trucks, Powder Trucks and Railcars.
  • Forklift certified.
  • Good troubleshooting skills.
  • Understand paperwork and properly be able to complete.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • This position requires use of protective mask, hearing protection, safety shoes, and gloves.
  • Good communication skills, must be able to communicate with all personnel (Contractors, Customers, Temporaries, and Management).
  • Valid Ohio Driver’s License (prerequisite for Forklift License).
Interactions and Tools/Equipment Utilized in the Job
  • Forklift Operation.
Physical Requirements
  • The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • The employee me able to work in various temperatures (cold and hot).
  • The employee must be able to climb stairs and work from heights with the assistance of proper safety equipment.
Other Information
  • All rules and regulations of the Employee Handbook apply at all times.
  • Standard working hours: 8 hour shifts, Monday – Friday. Overtime as needed.
  • Eligible for In-2-Win Performance Bonus Program.
  • Hiring for multiple openings on 1st shift, 2nd shift, and 3rd shift.
