Account Manager - Personal Care

East Coast - Remote

Job Responsibilities
  • Represent J Rettenmaier USA in the home and personal care markets.
  • With National Sales Manager, participate in creation of new business growth strategy for all Home and Personal Care accounts.
  • Meet or exceed plan for revenues, volume, and gross margin of market products.
  • Direct sales to end users and distributors.
  • Maintain record of activities via established call and sales reporting methods.
  • Determine what information, data, or prototypes are required and organize with J Rettenmaier Home and Personal Care R&D team accordingly.


Duties
  • Exhibit in and present at appropriate trade shows, conferences, and expositions.
  • Frequent travel to customer sites and market events.
  • Develop relationships with key upper level decision makers at target accounts.
  • Development of new customer leads through membership in business and technical associations.
  • Generate quotations to be recorded in SAP.
  • Research customer, competition, application, and market information.
  • Create sales call reports and appropriate customer data.
  • Have detailed understanding of Home and Personal Care market products, volumes and pricing.
  • Work with National Sales Manager to create tactical and strategic sales growth plans.
  • Provide input on format, layout and printing/creation of marketing materials such as technical data sheets, newsletters and promotional giveaway materials.
  • Build and maintain relationships with the Home and Personal Care BU manager and Product Managers at J Rettenmaier Germany and other key J Rettenmaier offices.
  • Creation of sales forecasts for production planning and annual budget process.
  • Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance and adherence to all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Provide leadership example in support of company business goals, plans, and objectives.
  • Attendance at sales meetings and other organized company events will be required on a periodic basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements, Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in science or engineering.
  • Proven consistent sales/sales management track record.
  • Strong sense of customer urgency.
  • Able to effectively communicate on the telephone, in person, and in writing.
  • Competent use of business English in formal communication via email, letter and presentations.
  • Experience with international business partners, specifically German, a plus.
  • Adept in use of MS Office, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word, and Power Point.
  • Experienced with order processing software, preferably SAP.
  • Able to perform business math calculations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Valid documentation for ability to travel internationally.
Interactions and Tools/Equipment Utilized in the Job
  • Interacts with customers on regular basis (in person, telephone, e-mail, fax, mail).
  • Consults with corporate personnel and staff in Logistics, Warehouses, Production, Customer Service and QA/QC.
  • Utilizes standard office equipment and computer work station.
Physical Requirements

The job requires ability to travel via airplane. Ability to work at customer sites, including office environments and manufacturing process facilities which may not have physically disabled person adaptations. Office environment requires sitting, typing and viewing computer screen for long periods of time.

Other Information
  • All rules and regulations of the Employee Handbook apply at all times.
  • 8:00AM – 5:00PM, Monday – Friday, plus other required productive time; 1-hour lunch break
  • Required to travel 50% per week.
  • Eligible for Sales Performance Bonus Program
  • Eligible for all benefit programs.
